Overview The Program Manager supports the execution of product development initiatives across one or more product categories and/or regions. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with BISSELL’s global development process. In particular, this Program Manager contributes and the go to person to project planning, coordination, and communication, and serves as a key local liaison between BISSELL’s International hub and global development stakeholders. This localized role is key for BISSELL’s international growth priorities and will be focused on critical go-to-market (GTM) readiness for the regions they support. Responsibilities Own and lead multiple-product assignments as Program Manager for International projects, overseeing planning, execution and delivery. Ownes the emerging Market New intro projects and the Playbook creation. Drives the Project prioritization and Post Launch evaluation of International Projects together with the International Leadership team (eg. implement a Change Control Board). Serve as the local liaison between the International Hub and key global stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication. Communicate and coordinate within key functions of the organization, as well as with suppliers and customers. Must be able to successfully influence internal and external contacts regarding complex topics. Ensure that project team members and other support functions own and use BISSELL’s Global product development process consistently. Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the Global Go-To-Market (GTM) process to enhance efficiency and impact. This individual is the one voice for their assigned programs and requires collaborative integration within the organization. The person in this role will have responsibility in meeting key program schedule milestones, cost objectives, budget objectives and design guide criteria. Focus areas may include both up front unique regional product requirements to back end go-to-market readiness. Facilitates and leads the scoping of new projects including technical requirements, resource needs, and launch timing targets. Creates and maintains project schedules, tracking progress toward objectives and resource levels compared to what was planned. Advocates on behalf of the project to creatively solve problems affecting project delivery. Guards against changes that may affect the project budget or timing, scoping the impact of any necessary changes and presents change orders to leadership for decision. Ensure that program team members and other support functions own and follow BISSELL’s Global Development process. Accountable for the capture of knowledge/lessons learned associated with these new projects for future reference. May provide mentorship and coaching for others around BISSELL’s development process. Support additional projects or business initiatives as assigned by the manager. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Degree minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing field. Specific concentration: Project & Program Management preferred. Experience level: Minimum of 10 years of career experience in project/program management, preferably in a product development environment. MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain. PMP or CAPM certification. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, or IT. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Clear business communication in English. SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND SKILLS REQUIRED Experience working and communicating in a global environment with an appreciation of how things get done in other parts of the world. Knowledge of varying cultures and societies and the implications language, actions and behaviors can have. Ability to support and coordinate cross-functional product development teams. Strong organizational and time management skills. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on execution and delivery. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies. Willingness to travel and work across time zones as needed.
