(junior) mechanical engineer - solidworks | electronic devices
We’re looking for a (Junior) Mechanical Engineer with experience in SolidWorks and a solid technical background in mechanical design for electronic systems.
If you’ve worked on a variety of equipment from marine electronics to general electronic assemblies, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components for cutting-edge electronic and gas detection products. You don’t need prior experience with our products, if you have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for technology, we’ll teach you everything about our products.
What you’ll do
- Design and model mechanical parts and housings using SolidWorks.
- Translate product requirements into detailed mechanical specifications.
- Create 3D CAD models and prepare complete 2D manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with electronics, firmware, and production teams on integrated designs.
- Support testing, assembly, and optimization of prototypes.
- Participate actively in design reviews and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with certification and regulatory standards.
What you bring
- A technical degree (MBO+ / HBO) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- A practical, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Strong communication skills in English (Dutch not required).
