What are you going to do?

As an R&D coordinator you are responsible for coordinating mechanical technical developments and managing and supervising projects in which you bring together different disciplines.

Ideas for new products and applications arise from the market. This can involve new products or optimising existing products. Under your supervision, the engineers realise the mechanical part according to established processes and in collaboration with partners and suppliers. As R&D coordinator, you monitor the projects assigned to you and proactively monitor their progress and quality, thereby steering towards validation and documentation of the deliverables.

In your function, you will visit customers, suppliers and/or our foreign branches several times a year. In addition, we expect you to play an active role within the Innovation Cluster Drachten, to which we are affiliated. In short, a very versatile role.

Who are you?

To successfully fulfill this role, excellent communication skills at various organizational levels are essential. We also value courage and natural persuasiveness. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly are also important. In addition, you are able to work independently and in a team in a meticulous and structured manner. You have broad technical mechanical knowledge and innovative capacity.

Job requirements

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within product development
  • You have completed a mechanical HBO education
  • You have experience in leading projects
  • You have experience in defining, communicating and monitoring quality standards
  • An excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
