Do you enjoy creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests? Boutique Hotel Jan Luyken, located in the heart of Amsterdam, is looking for a motivated Public Areas Attendant to join our housekeeping team.

• Gross hourly wage starting at €14.83, depending on your work experience*
• Salary paid every 4 weeks (13 payments per year)
• Travel allowance from 20 km per day at €0.14 per kilometer
• 8% holiday allowance, paid out in May
• 10% holiday hours accrual and 5% year-end bonus
• 26 vacation days per year based on a full-time contract, plus an extra day off on your birthday
• Multiple fixed-term contracts with the possibility of extension
• Opportunity to obtain your SVS diploma (basic cleaning training)
• Training and development programs to grow into roles such as Supervisor or Team Leader

*Gross hourly wage applies from the age of 20.

As a Public Areas Attendant, you ensure that all public spaces in our boutique hotel are spotless, tidy, and inviting for our guests. You will mainly work mornings from 06:00 – 10:00. If you are looking for extra hours, you can also support our housekeeping team with cleaning guest rooms after your shift.

Your responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all public areas (lobby, hallways, restrooms, etc.)
• Assisting colleagues when needed to ensure the highest cleanliness standards
• Optionally supporting room cleaning if you wish to work more hours
• Providing excellent service and contributing to a positive guest experience

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and speak English
• Flexible and available to work mornings (6–10 am), with the option to stay longer to support room cleaning
• Living in Amsterdam or nearby
• Experience in housekeeping is a plus, but not required
