Senior Machine Learning Scientist (freelance) – Huxley, Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands

• Translate broad business problems into ML/AI challenges and develop a targeted research plan to identify the best approach within the production environment.
• Independently define and build proof-of-concepts to test new ideas and demonstrate potential value to stakeholders.
• Drive the end-to-end execution of the ML/AI development process on products, from ideation to a working scalable ML application.
• Build readable and reusable code aligned with business tools and product needs.
• Deliver end-to-end ML solutions for high-scale problems in performance marketing and online advertising; design rapid prototyping with subsequent production scale-up.
• Maintain a cross-disciplinary perspective, applying methods from various ML/AI disciplines and related fields.

• Proven record in developing innovative ML solutions for large-scale business problems.
• Proven record in applicative research around large-scale optimization problems.
• Strong theoretical background in large-scale constrained optimization and statistical methods.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to coach others and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Fast learner with independence and initiative; capable of working without supervision.
• Master’s degree or PhD required.
