As an In-House Clinical Research Associate (IHCRA), you will support our global pharmaceutical clients, with whom ICON shares a culture of innovation, flexibility, and a common vision: bringing to market medicines that improve patients' lives. We are currently seeking an experienced IHCRA to join our full-service teams based in Utrecht, Zen (3 days in the office). This position offers a unique opportunity to transition into a travelling Clinical Research Associate (CRA) role, providing exposure to a diverse range of clinical trials and the potential for career advancement within ICON.

The IHCRA participates in the coordination and administration of study activities, from the start-up phase through execution and close-out. Integrated into the local study team, they ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables for interventional trials, meeting time, cost, and quality objectives.

This role will allow you to experience the entire project lifecycle and contribute significantly to the development of new treatments and the improvement of patients' lives.

What you will be doing

  • Assisting in the planning, initiation, and execution of clinical trial activities
  • Conducting site feasibility assessments and participating in site selection processes
  • Coordinating with investigative sites to ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring study progress and data collection activities to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of study documentation and reports

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences or healthcare
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of prior experience in clinical research or a related field such as a CTA or Study Coordinator or similar.
  • Fluent Dutch and English, oral and written.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
