About the Company

A mission-driven AI startup, headquartered in the Netherlands, is pioneering deepfake detection technology. Founded out of academic research in 2018, its mission is to protect digital trust in an era where AI-manipulated media threatens security, reputation, and democracy.

The platform detects fake video, audio, and images across industries - from law enforcement and defense to financial institutions and enterprises fighting fraud. With features in the New York Times, WIRED, and BBC, and new funding secured, the company is entering its next growth chapter: building a commercial team to turn world-class research into global impact.

------------------------------
About the Role

We’re hiring for a Head of Product - a hands-on builder who can connect engineering, research, and commercial teams to deliver world-class deepfake detection products.

You’ll take ownership of the roadmap, UI/UX direction, and delivery execution to make our technology not only powerful but a joy to use. This is both a strategic and operational role - 50% defining the future, 50% building it with the team.

You’ll free the founders from day-to-day product execution so they can focus on scaling growth, partnerships, and investor strategy.

Why this role?

Because digital trust needs defenders - and our product is the weapon.
You won’t just “manage features.” You’ll design how industries interact with AI security itself.

  • Shape the Next Chapter: Turn cutting-edge research into usable, scalable SaaS products.
  • Build What Customers Love: Combine user empathy, UX design, and engineering depth to create delight and adoption.
  • Drive Real Impact: Every improvement you make directly speeds our sales cycles and deepens customer retention.
  • Be a Founding Product Leader: Work hand-in-hand with our CEO (ex-academic researcher) and Commercial Co-Founder to define priorities, processes, and culture for a product team that will grow under your leadership.

Your Impact

In your first 6 to 12 months, you’ll:

  • Redesign and elevate our UI/UX to match the sophistication of our tech.

  • Define and own the roadmap, balancing innovation with usability and commercial goals.
  • Bridge engineering, research, and sales/marketing to turn insights into features that win markets.
  • Translate user feedback and adoption data into actionable improvements.
  • Set the foundations for future product operations, documentation, and hiring (incl. design and support functions).

Success looks like:

  • Shorter product delivery cycles.

  • Increased customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Seamless alignment between product, engineering, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap aligned with company vision and GTM goals.
  • Prioritise features that accelerate adoption, improve UX, and deepen customer engagement.
  • Conduct product assessments, define KPIs, and align with founders on quarterly focus areas.

2. Design & Delivery

  • Oversee feature prototyping, UI/UX design, and release management.

  • Guide front-end and back-end teams on user goals and success metrics.

  • Test and validate releases to ensure quality and reliability.

  • Manage external freelancers or contractors for design and delivery when needed.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the connective layer between engineering, research, and commercial teams.
  • Translate customer and market feedback from sales/marketing into clear technical priorities.
  • Work closely with future customer support functions to ensure smooth delivery and feedback loops.

4. Customer Insight & Adoption

  • Analyse usage patterns and product performance to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Ensure product experience drives loyalty and conversion - making it “too good to leave.”
------------------------------
We Need You, If You Have:
  • 3 to 5 years of product management experience in SaaS or B2B tech (ideally scaling from Seed Series A/B).
  • Proven track record improving UI/UX and collaborating with engineers to ship complex features.
  • Ability to speak both design and dev- you’re comfortable discussing APIs, front-end frameworks, and user flows.
  • Experience using Figma and Bolt for prototyping, Notion and GitHub for roadmap and release management, and HubSpot to align product with marketing and sales workflows.
  • A balance of strategic vision and hands-on delivery - founder mindset, not corporate process.
  • Curiosity for AI, cybersecurity, or identity verification - domain knowledge is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; you translate complexity into clarity.
------------------------------
Why Join?
  • Mission with meaning: Protect truth, trust, and digital safety in an AI-driven world.
  • High ownership: Autonomy to shape product direction end-to-end.
  • Direct founder collaboration: Your work impacts customers, investors, and global partners.
  • Growth opportunity: Clear path to VP of Product as the company expands.
  • Remote flexibility: Based anywhere in the EU; monthly travel to Amsterdam HQ.
  • Compensation: 50k to 95K EUR + equity (depending on experience and impact).
