Head of business control

Bitvavo – Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands

As Head of Business Control, you have a holistic view of the organisation and the overall business objectives. You are a sparring partner to our shareholders and leadership team, challenging the status quo. You lead the business control function, working closely with the data analytics team to provide strategic guidance and data-driven decision support to the Board and senior leadership.

• Build and lead a high-performing business control team
• Define and advise on the company strategy
• Be responsible for the monthly business progress updates to the senior leadership team
• Drive the setting and tracking of the company’s OKRs
• Transition Bitvavo to a data-driven organisation and ensure decision making is based on data insights
• Develop a KPI dashboard and, with the Data team, implement a data warehouse and BI tooling
• Develop profitability analyses (e.g., unit economics, customer lifetime value, variance analysis, gross margin) with the Data Analytics team
• Lead financial planning and budgeting cycles (mid-term planning, annual forecast, monthly budget, latest estimate)

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in Controlling, Finance, or Accounting, with at least 3 years in a similar role
• Experience with Fintech and/or hyper-growth environments
• Strong analytical skills and experience with BI tooling
• Excellent modelling and presentation skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
