Job Purpose and Overview


As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the legal compliance of all Dawn products across the EU and AMEAP regions. You will join a collaborative team of regulatory experts and report to the Regulatory Manager EU & AMEAP. This position is based in our European Headquarters in Amstelveen, The Netherlands, and supports multiple functions including New Product Development, Sales, and Customer Service with clear, timely regulatory guidance.

What will you do as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Dawn Foods?

  • Ensure ingredient and recipe compliance with national and international food laws, beginning with NPD and purchasing requests.

  • Assess and validate specifications and labels for new and updated products to ensure legal accuracy.

  • Represent Regulatory Affairs in project team meetings and advise on compliance implications for new ingredients and product designs.

  • Support internal stakeholders by answering regulatory questions from sales and customers, often involving nuanced or country-specific legislation.

  • Provide regular training on (new) regulatory requirements to ensure company-wide compliance.

  • Monitor and implement changes in EU and local food legislation, coordinating impact assessments and required actions.

  • Represent Dawn in relevant consultative bodies on food, nutrition and sustainability legislation

    You are detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a cross-functional, multicultural environment. You enjoy providing clear, actionable guidance and ensuring compliance in a dynamic industry.

    Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience food regulatory affairs or Quality Assurance

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.

  • Proven project management and implementation abilities; comfortable working independently and in teams.

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); proficiency in another EU language is a plus.
