About the position of Trainee Project Management Officer

Working as a Trainee Project Management Officer at Huisman means that you are playing an important role in helping client projects to realize their goals. You will receive relevant training and the opportunity to develop yourself in the PMO discipline and gain project management experience.

What do we expect of you?

As a Trainee Project Management Officer, you are responsible for:

  • Developing and/or refining Project Management Office processes, standards and tools;
  • Supporting the Project Management Office manager in materializing the PMO vision and in projects execution;
  • Providing training, guidance and advice to the project managers;
  • Acting as a recognized business partner by enabling effective decisions making on all levels;
  • Driving the roll-out and embedding of project (program) standards and processes related to e.g. project planning, product generation process, effective decision making, reporting, change control, risk management and quality;
  • Driving, participating, leading & implementing cross-project improvements project in accordance with the PMO Roadmap;
  • Provides guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assist regular financial management and reporting.

    You have:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business subject area
  • Some experience as project management officer or practical experience as a project manager in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment. Is a PRO not a MUST;
  • The ability to implement change and improvement projects or ability to do so;
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements, know how to prioritize and stay effective;
  • Practical disposition and a good command of the English language orally and in writing.

  • An excellent communicator;
  • Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently;
  • Flexible and Creative;
  • Client oriented and focused;
  • Proactive and Persuasive.

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
