The F126 Internal Project Manager (PM) is leading the F126 internal organization to ensure the on-time delivery of F126 subsystems within budget. For more information about the F126 project, see:
The Internal PM F126 has a key position within F126 Project to ensure the operational performance of the F126 product teams composed of Engineering Delivery managers, Product Project managers, Subcontract Project managers, together with the F126 Main Engineering Delivery manager and supported by the Project Management and Finance Office. This requires project management expertise, an excellent management of relationships in a multi-entity environment and the use of highly developed networking and influencing skills.
The F126 Internal Project Manager reports directly to the F126 Project Director and supervises around 10 control accounts, most of them being characterized as complex or critical and managed by Senior Project Managers, for a total budget above 1 billion euros. The F126 Internal Project Manager supports the solution delivery at customer level meetings when needed by the External PM.
In this position and given the size of F126 he has a very high impact on this project for Thales in general and especially in Germany and NL: more than 350 resources spread over Netherlands, Germany and Romania, thousands of deliverables, reporting to GBU and Corporate.
Your responsibilities
Is responsible to maintain the schedule and cost baseline of the products with PMO and Finance supportEstablishes the mechanisms to drive the drumbeating, schedule and cost control with PMO and Finance supportManage through schedule using critical path analysis and clarification of dependenciesLeads and federates the teams in order to achieve the schedule, quality and cost goals Provides direction and appraisals to fellow F126 management team membersChairs the supervisory reviews of all subordinate control accounts / work packages ensuring strong governance, reporting and resolution of blockers and makes arbitrations and decisions based on Program Director delegationHighlights any key issues and risks requiring management attentionEnsures that resource issues are managed at the right level and urgencyInitiates (and sometimes leads) specific issue resolution initiatives – engaging outside specialist resource as requiredSupports the solution delivery at customer level meetings when needed by External PM .Strong exposure to Corporate, GBU, BL, Countries: coordination and influence on multiple stakeholdersThe responsibilities of the F126 Engineering team are shared between the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) F126 and Internal Project Manager F126: the EDM focusing on the Engineering delivery, the Internal PM focusing on project management (i.e schedule and cost).
