€36,000 annual basic + commission & bonus


Our client, a well-established recruitment agency with 25 years of experience in the Dutch market, specialises in the Finance and Technology sectors. Based in Amsterdam Zuid, the team is focused on expanding their contract acquisition services. With a current team of 11 dedicated professionals, the goal is to grow to a team of 20, so a very exciting time to join.


The Role:

As a Junior Business Development Consultant, you’ll be responsible for the sales side of the recruitment process. You will join their Finance team, working with existing clients, building and expanding these relationships, whilst confidently approaching prospective clients to bring on new business.


You’ll get intensive training, and work closely with the office Manager to ensure you have excellent knowledge of Finance recruitment and the sales process.


This is a sales-focused role that requires proactive client engagement, building a network and knowledge of the Dutch market, and acquiring new client accounts in a competitive environment. With a designated candidate resourcing team, who will find the talent for the vacancies you bring in, it will allow you to purely focus on building client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and acquire new clients in the Finance sector, leveraging your network and market knowledge to expand your client base.
  • Full Recruitment Cycle Management: Oversee the recruitment process from initial contact to final placement, including contract negotiations and post-placement follow-up
  • Market Expertise: Stay updated on market trends within the Finance sector, advising clients accordingly


Job requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year in a sales, customer service, or client facing position
  • Fluent Dutch is essential, along with a good level of English
  • Located in Amsterdam
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Confident cold calling new prospects and selling the businesses services
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
