Contract Duration: 6-12 months (Extension possible)
Specification:
• 3–6+ years of experience in a contract management role within multidisciplinary infrastructure or industrial construction projects
• Extensive knowledge of contract forms including UAV, UAV-GC, D&C, E&C, SCB, DBFM, FIDIC, RAW, STABU
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline, ideally combined with legal education or training (e.g. first-year law, law minor, or affinity with law)
• Solid understanding of procurement law, construction-sector legal frameworks, and basic risk management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Dutch or French is a strong advantage
• Proactive, commercially aware, and confident in advising senior project leadership
My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Contract Manager to support a major infrastructure project in the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex technical and legal contracts (including UAV, UAV-GC, D&C, FIDIC, and DBFM) into clear contractual rights and obligations for the project team. You will play a key role in contract negotiations, including development and subcontracting agreements, and provide strategic advice on risks, claims, and contract variations. Acting as the legal conscience of the project manager, you’ll ensure compliance with legal frameworks, track contract performance, and support resolution of disputes throughout all project phases. This position requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients to maintain transparency, structure, and alignment across all contractual matters.
