A leading biologics company specialising in large molecule therapeutics is seeking a highly experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimise its end-to-end global supply chain operations. With a workforce recently surpassing 1,000 employees and annual revenues now exceeding €450 million, the company is entering a key phase of international growth and operational scale-up.

This is a strategic, end-to-end leadership role with full responsibility across supply planning, logistics, S&OP, and strategic sourcing. The Director will lead a team of four supply chain professionals — three based in the Netherlands and one at a key manufacturing and distribution site in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the company’s global end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring seamless coordination from raw materials to final product distribution
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across multiple countries
  • Manage a direct and indirect supply chain spend of approximately €100 million, ensuring cost-efficiency and value creation
  • Oversee supply chain operations across a network that distributes to over 35 countries, including key markets in Europe, North America, and Asia
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Lead S&OP processes, capacity planning, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning, logistics, and supplier performance
  • Act as a key stakeholder in strategic decision-making around network expansion and third-party partnerships

Your Profile:

  • Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role within biologics, biopharma, or life sciences — preferably in large molecule environments
  • Strong understanding of GMP-regulated supply chains, global logistics, and cold chain distribution
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop international teams
  • Experience managing significant supply chain budgets and vendor relationships
  • Fluent in English; German or Dutch is a plus
  • Willingness to travel regularly between sites in the Netherlands and Germany
