Job Description

You will oversee the complete M&A process for mid- to large-scale deals, ensuring smooth execution from initial target screening through to final handover. This includes managing internal stakeholders, working with external advisors, and delivering on strategic objectives.


Key responsibilities:



  • Define and lead end-to-end M&A projects for acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.
  • Drive strategic target identification, screening, and qualification.
  • Oversee development of robust business cases, cost synergy modelling, and valuation analysis.
  • Manage due diligence processes across financial, legal, tax, and operational areas.
  • Collaborate closely with legal teams to negotiate and finalise documentation.
  • Engage and coordinate with external advisors such as investment banks, law firms, and consultants.
  • Anticipate and resolve critical alignment or operational issues during execution.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations to executive stakeholders.
  • Monitor deal progress and ensure timely completion of key milestones.
  • Safeguard sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality throughout.
  • Identify process improvements to optimise future deal execution.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to junior colleagues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of hands-on M&A deal execution experience, ideally EUR 50-400m deal sizes.
  • Proven track record delivering acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures end-to-end.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management and influence skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to and working with executive-level stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and professional integrity.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
