Job Description
You will oversee the complete M&A process for mid- to large-scale deals, ensuring smooth execution from initial target screening through to final handover. This includes managing internal stakeholders, working with external advisors, and delivering on strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and lead end-to-end M&A projects for acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.
- Drive strategic target identification, screening, and qualification.
- Oversee development of robust business cases, cost synergy modelling, and valuation analysis.
- Manage due diligence processes across financial, legal, tax, and operational areas.
- Collaborate closely with legal teams to negotiate and finalise documentation.
- Engage and coordinate with external advisors such as investment banks, law firms, and consultants.
- Anticipate and resolve critical alignment or operational issues during execution.
- Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations to executive stakeholders.
- Monitor deal progress and ensure timely completion of key milestones.
- Safeguard sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality throughout.
- Identify process improvements to optimise future deal execution.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to junior colleagues.
The Successful Applicant
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of hands-on M&A deal execution experience, ideally EUR 50-400m deal sizes.
- Proven track record delivering acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures end-to-end.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management and influence skills.
- Comfortable presenting to and working with executive-level stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and professional integrity.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
