What you will do

The Head of Admissions and Marketing has responsibility for leading our Admissions and Marketing team (five direct reports), and ensuring the delivery of a seamless pupil journey. This is your chance to bring both strategic insight and operational expertise to a marketing-led Admissions environment where you’ll see the tangible impact of your work.

This position closely supports the school’s leadership team in further advancing our school in its continued development.Reporting to the Bursar & School Principal, you’ll partner with the Management Board (MB) and Operational Leadership Team (OLT) to deliver on business objectives while contributing to a work place where people feel valued and motivated.

Your focus will be to further develop strategies and tactical development plans which meet and exceed the school's objectives for the recruitment and retention of enrolled students. The role will include building on and enhancing relationships with international employers and key decisionmakers involved in corporate relocations, and to further develop key touch points within the school community, both internally and externally.

Importantly, you will promote the effective use of procedures, quality and customer service standards, and systems, to ensure the delivery of a high standard of customer service to applicants, pupils & their families, corporate employers, specialist relocation agents, and influencers.

You will inspire, motivate and guide everyone who contributes to the admissions, marketing, communications and design functions, and strive to identify and provide training and mentoring opportunities, whenever possible.

The Head of Admissions and Marketing will have primary responsible for:

  • Operational Leadership: Partner with Management Board (MB) and the operational leadership team (OLT) to build and achieve pupil and department budgets, tracking and reporting on admissions progress
  • Drive Pupil Numbers: Achieving the school’s targets and reporting on progress and pipeline
  • Customer relations: Together with the Management Board, building and maintaining excellent relationships with our community of key customers, relocation agents, parents, alumni, etc.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Admissions & Marketing team
  • Marketing strategy: Delivering successful marketing initiatives by creating and showcasing the best journey for pupils, parents, and employer companies
  • Communications & PR Strategy: Creating attractive and relevant internal & external communications that effectively convey the School’s messaging
  • Admissions Processes & Systems: Ensure effective systems and the delivery of excellent customer service, to drive & process successful applications and maintain confidential data
  • Enhancement & continuous improvement: Enhance admissions processes which promote the school's brand, increase student enrolments, and ensure a high standard of customer service delivery

About You

You’re an experienced marketing leader with experience of Admissions for the education sector (ideally in international education or similar). Your expertise should include attraction and retention marketing and effective development planning and implementation. You can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution and are excited by the chance to join the leadership team of a dynamic and successful international school.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HBO or Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or similar
  • High level of fluency in English
  • Dutch language skills useful (but not essential)
  • Minimum 3+ years of Marketing/Admissions leadership experience
  • Experience of working with/in Admissions for the education sector
  • Experience or understanding of the British education system (preferred)
  • Experience of working within an international environment
  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively
  • Comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and data analysis skills
  • Expertise with IT/technology (Google suite, database systems, iSams)
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding within the school community
