About The Role

The Transaction Services team at FTI Consulting offer a forward-looking perspective to the fast-paced European and global transactions market. Whether representing buyers or sellers, we offer a comprehensive financial due diligence service leading to value-related advice and hands-on support across a full spectrum of industries.

The Transactions team, Amsterdam, is looking to strengthen its leadership team to support global transactions in collaboration with our offices in UK (London), US (New York, Boston, Chicago etc) and UAE (Dubai) across a variety of different industries (Infra, Business services, Agri, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Logistics, etc.).

The role is to join as a senior member of the team and to lead transactions team alongside leadership to build and grow the team both internally and outwardly to the market.

Ideally you will have multi-year experience of advising on transactions, are commercially minded when delivering transaction advice to clients, and can demonstrate skills to build strong relationships with clients. You are likely part of a transaction services team at Big 4 or equivalent and have been advising on private equity or corporate M&A transactions for a number of year.

What You'll Do

As a successful Managing Director, in a highly entrepreneurial environment, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and lead and execute financial due diligence engagements across industries and across borders.

Activities And Responsibilities Include
  • Responsible for end-to-end leading and delivering more complex and international due diligence projects
  • Leading communication and liaisons with M&A bankers, commercial advisors, lawyers, financing providers, W&I insurers and other relevant parties to the M&A process on appropriate presentation and impact of diligence findings
  • Build relationships with key and potential clients to provide excellent transaction advice
  • Supervision and mentoring of Directors and Senior Consultants, taking full responsibility for review of their analysis / sections and being accountable for their output
  • Counsel and mentor Directors and Senior Consultants in their technical skills and leadership capabilities
  • Market awareness of transaction trends with strong commercial awareness
  • Collaboration with various departments within the firm to enhance service delivery and client relationships
  • Internally network with our other service lines and work on external marketing events to build your network internally & externally
  • Providing leadership, coaching and training to the team members
  • Producing thought leadership
How You'll Grow

The role will allow you flexibility to put in place your own framework for success and to work collaboratively with the wider team to support the exciting growth in the FTI Corporate Finance practice with focus on Financial Due Diligence. The role is by its nature, flexible allowing for the expansion of opportunities or responsibilities outside of the areas set out above into other matters that you feel can contribute to the broader remit to enhance our FDD group. There is also significant opportunity to interact with experts across FTI and / or develop thought leadership.
