Senior Category Manager Product&Tech- Temporary

You take on the role of strategic business partner for the Product & Tech domain. An equally impactful and autonomous position where you develop and implement purchasing strategies that measurably contribute to achieving the companies technological ambitions. You manage a portfolio of approximately €55 million annually and are operationally supported by two driven tactical buyers whom you inspire, coach, and develop. This position gives you direct access to the highest levels: you advise the CPO & CTO, prepare steering groups with senior directors, and act as a sparring partner for Product & Tech leadership. You are also the strategic purchasing advisor for the Product & Tech management team.

Senior Category Manager Product&Tech- Temporary

Your tasks and responsibilities are to:

  • Developing and adjusting procurement strategies within a €55M+ P&T portfolio;
  • Leading complex negotiations with strategic suppliers;
  • Advising the CPO and CTO and senior leadership on procurement and supplier risks;
  • Coaching and continuously developing two tactical buyers;
  • Identifying innovation opportunities within the tech ecosystem;
  • Managing critical supplier relationships (including cloud providers);
  • Creating value beyond cost savings: driving innovation;
  • Optional: taking ownership of tooling innovation within NFR Procurement.

    The ideal candidate:

  • Has over 7 years of experience in tech procurement;
  • Challenges existing assumption;
  • Specialized in negotiating complex, high-value contracts;
  • Understands that power, knowledge, and timing are crucial factors in tech procurement;
  • Speaks fluent ‘tech’ – from cloud architecture to API pricing – with an eye for commercial impact;
  • Independent and proactive, but also maintains oversight of operational processes;
  • Knows when to escalate and when de-escalation is more strategic;
  • Strong communication skills; switches smoothly between technical teams and executives.

  • Temporary assignment from 10/12/2025 till 12/31/2025 via Independent Recruiters;
  • Salary based on skills and experience;
  • Hybrid working: two fixed office days (Tuesday and Thursday), the rest can be remote;
