Passion for growing tomatoes and peppers comes together at our greenhouse production site in Luttelgeest. As a Team Lead Seed Production, you combine hands-on crop cultivation expertise with the day-to-day leadership of a production team. Our Luttelgeest location continues to grow, supporting our ambition to further strengthen and expand our operations.Make the difference as Team Lead Seed ProductionAs Team Lead Seed Production, you play an important role in the daily management of our greenhouse production site in Luttelgeest. You lead crop care employees and support seasonal workers in their daily activities. You help coordinate planning, monitor work quality, and ensure a safe and healthy working environment. You work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues from different disciplines to further develop the cultivation of peppers or tomatoes.In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a team of crop care employees and seasonal workers;
- Sharing responsibility for the cultivation of peppers or tomatoes;
- Preparing and following up on the daily operational planning at the greenhouse production site;
- Performing quality checks and reporting on progress;
- Identifying improvement opportunities and initiating continuous improvement activities;
- Contributing to a safe, healthy, and positive work environment in which colleagues work together effectively.
- At least 3 years of experience in crop cultivation and/or people management;
- Affinity with horticulture and vegetable production activities in a greenhouse environment;
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, combined with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical improvements;
- As English is the main working language at our Luttelgeest location, you are comfortable communicating in English, both verbally and in writing. Speaking Dutch is a plus, but not required;
- A proactive and motivating attitude, with a willingness to actively contribute to the daily operations in the greenhouse.
- A position for 38 hours per week;
- A gross monthly salary between €3,093 and €3,916 (Scale 5, Collective Labour Agreement for Vegetable Seed Companies), based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience;
- 8.33% holiday allowance and an attractive annual bonus programme of 7.5% of your annual salary, depending on your job level and company performance;
- 25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days, and one paid vitality day per year. In addition, you receive extra vacation days as you get older;
