As a Mid-to-Senior Business Central / AL Developer, you will:

Own the expansion of the automated test suite for an existing production-grade Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extension.
Develop and enhance Business Central extensions using the AL programming language.
Raise automated test coverage substantially across an existing codebase using the Business Central test framework.
Develop logging and audit-trail capabilities, including PII masking and immutable logging.
Implement observability and monitoring using Azure Monitor.
Develop and harden CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions and AL-Go for GitHub.
Implement infrastructure as code using Azure services and ARM templates or comparable technologies.
Work on Azure Key Vault integration and secure management of application secrets and configuration.
Work on the configuration and administration interface, including clear separation between sandbox and production environments.
Develop the white-label branding framework and prepare the Business Central extension for AppSource packaging.
Support quality assurance activities with an approximate allocation of 60% development and 40% QA.
Contribute to bringing an existing productive Business Central extension to bank-grade production quality, including security validation and formal user acceptance testing.
Work with a codebase of approximately 265 AL objects and 40,000 lines of code across the current Business Central major version and an older on-premise BC13 backport track.
Work with existing automated tests comprising approximately 165 tests across 22 test files and substantially expand the current approximately 40% test coverage.
Work with GitHub, Jira, Azure DevOps and approximately 19 existing GitHub Actions workflows.
Work with integrations including corporate bank APIs using mTLS and OAuth2, ISO 20022 camt processing and third-party PSD2 aggregation.

What You Bring to the Table:

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AL development.
Proven experience developing and maintaining Business Central extensions in production environments.
Demonstrable experience with the Business Central automated test framework and increasing test coverage on an existing codebase.
Strong experience with test automation and quality assurance within Business Central development projects.
Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and preferably AL-Go for GitHub.
Experience with Azure services including Azure Key Vault and Azure Monitor.
Experience with infrastructure as code using ARM templates or comparable technologies.
Strong understanding of CI/CD, deployment automation and pipeline hardening.
Experience working with production-grade software where security, reliability, testing and release quality are critical.
Disciplined documentation practices, with the ability to produce technical documentation and architecture/development decisions throughout the engagement.
Professional written and spoken English.

You should possess the ability to:

Take ownership of QA and automated testing rather than limiting your contribution to manual testing.
Analyse an existing Business Central codebase and identify opportunities to increase automated test coverage.
Design and implement reliable automated tests for Business Central functionality.
Build maintainable CI/CD workflows and improve existing deployment pipelines.
Implement secure logging, audit trails and PII masking.
Configure monitoring and observability for production-grade applications.
Work with secure authentication and integration mechanisms such as OAuth2 and mTLS.
Handle certificates, secrets and security-sensitive configuration appropriately.
Separate sandbox and production configurations and deployment processes.
Prepare Business Central extensions for AppSource technical validation and packaging.
Perform or support performance testing and production-readiness activities.
Work independently while maintaining clear technical documentation and communicating decisions effectively.
Work full-time on a dedicated basis without parallel project allocation.
Maintain continuity throughout the engagement and participate in a documented handover if substitution is required.
Work within EU/EEA data-handling requirements and use client-provided environments for development, storage and processing.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with NDA, IP assignment and non-subcontracting requirements.
Maintain at least six hours of working-time overlap with Central European Time.
