As a Senior Business Central / AL Developer, you will:

Develop, enhance, and harden Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extensions for production use within a European financial environment.
Work as the technical domain reference for payment execution, payment release and control workflows, beneficiary verification, reconciliation, and corporate bank API integration.
Develop and enhance payment execution capabilities including SEPA, SEPA Instant, direct debit, and future-dated payments.
Implement payment release and control workflows, including four-eyes approval processes.
Integrate beneficiary and account verification into payment release workflows.
Implement ISO 20022 bank statement processing, including camt.052 and camt.053 formats.
Develop automated reconciliation logic for financial transactions and bank statements.
Work on virtual account processing and payment run integration.
Develop and maintain Business Central extensions using the AL programming language.
Build and maintain REST API integrations with appropriate authentication, error handling, retry mechanisms, idempotency, and versioning.
Work with corporate banking APIs using mTLS and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
Contribute to integrations involving PSD2 aggregation and other financial services.
Expand and maintain the automated test suite using the Business Central test framework.
Improve code quality, security, reliability, maintainability, and production readiness of the existing Business Central extension.
Maintain and enhance CI/CD processes using AL-Go, GitHub Actions, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
Work with Azure services including Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and ARM templates.
Document architecture, technical decisions, implementation details, and development processes.
Work from written technical specifications and contribute to architecture decision records.
Support security validation, formal user acceptance testing, release activities, and transition to ongoing maintenance.
Collaborate closely with the project lead, solution architect, and other stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What You Bring to the Table:

Strong hands-on experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extensions using AL.
Several years of production experience with Business Central and AL development.
Strong experience with Business Central extension development and production-grade software engineering practices.
Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
Good understanding of API authentication, error handling, retries, idempotency, and versioning.
Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD environments.
Experience with GitHub Actions and Git-based development workflows.
Experience working with the Business Central test framework and automated testing.
Strong understanding of software quality, security, maintainability, and production readiness.
Ability to work from detailed written specifications and document technical and architectural decisions.
Professional English language skills, both written and spoken.
Experience with Azure services, particularly Azure Key Vault and Azure Monitor, is advantageous.
Experience with AL-Go and Business Central development pipelines is advantageous.
Experience with banking, payments, or financial services is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of SEPA, SEPA Instant, ISO 20022, payment workflows, and reconciliation is advantageous.
Experience with AppSource extensions and Microsoft certification requirements is advantageous.
German language skills are advantageous.

You should possess the ability to:

Design and develop robust, maintainable, and production-ready Business Central extensions using AL.
Understand complex payment and banking workflows and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
Implement secure and reliable REST API integrations with appropriate authentication and error-handling mechanisms.
Develop integrations supporting mTLS, OAuth2, API retries, idempotency, and version management.
Implement and enhance payment execution, approval, beneficiary verification, and reconciliation workflows.
Work with SEPA, SEPA Instant, direct debit, future-dated payments, and ISO 20022 processes where applicable.
Process camt.052 and camt.053 bank statement formats and implement automated reconciliation.
Develop and maintain automated tests and improve test coverage across existing Business Central functionality.
Work effectively with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and AL-Go.
Design solutions that meet enterprise security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
Work with Azure infrastructure and supporting services such as Key Vault and Azure Monitor.
Analyze an existing codebase, identify technical gaps, and implement improvements without compromising existing functionality.
Work independently from written specifications while documenting important technical and architectural decisions.
Collaborate effectively with project leads, solution architects, banking specialists, and business stakeholders.
Communicate technical concepts and implementation decisions clearly in professional English.
Take ownership of deliverables throughout development, testing, production hardening, UAT, release, and transition activities.
