About the job

As Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting Nouryon's European manufacturing sites and businesses. You will advise on a broad range of environmental, health and safety (HSE), regulatory, and commercial legal matters, working closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams across the organization. This role will report to the Vice President, General Counsel [Nordics / EMEA] at Nouryon.

In your future role as Legal Counsel, you will

• Provide legal support to our Businesses and Operations in Europe, including:
  • Drafting and hands‑on negotiation of a variety of commercial and other agreements, and handle disputes and litigation as they arise.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across legal, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and regulatory functions to manage legal risk while enabling business and production objectives.
  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Integrated Supply Chain team on HSE‑related matters across the Company's European manufacturing facilities.
  • Support the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team on regulatory compliance matters (incl REACH).
• Support other legal matters as they arise, including disputes and corporate legal matters.

We believe you bring

• Strong academic credentials, including a law degree from a well‑respected European university.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Strong training at a reputable law firm, in‑house legal department, or a combination of both is valued.
• Experience advising on HSE, environmental or regulatory matters in a manufacturing or an industrial environment is a plus.
• Fluency in English.

This is an on‑site, permanent position on a full‑time basis in our Amsterdam office. You are reporting to Vice President EMEA and based in Amsterdam.
