Technical production worker day shift

Our client in Geleen specialises in the re-inspection and maintenance of gas cylinders. Think of it as an MOT for gas cylinders: every cylinder is checked inside and out, the valve is tested, and only when everything is right does it go back out.

You will join a small team. No long meetings, just clear agreements. Safety always comes first.

To be honest: the work is dirty, heavy and noisy, and part of it is outdoors. In summer it gets hot in the workshop, in winter it is cold. You need to be able to handle that.

You will work on the bundle line. This is where bundles of 8 or 16 acetylene gas cylinders are inspected, refurbished and made ready for safe use again. You work with your hands, and what you deliver has to be right.

• You check and inspect bundles and cylinders
• You dismantle and assemble cylinder bundles
• You sand, blast and paint bundles and protective caps
• You replace valves
• You record per cylinder what you have checked and done

You are good with your hands and not afraid to get dirty.

• You work at MBO level (secondary vocational), through education or experience
• You have experience as a mechanic or in a technical or heavy production environment, for example metalworking, automotive or machine building
• You are used to dirty, physically demanding work
• You work precisely and take safety seriously
• You can use a computer to record your work
• You speak good English or Dutch

No VCA certificate needed. You will receive your own safety training.

• €16.40 gross per hour (ADV included)
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on day shift, no rotating shifts
• 25 days of holiday per year
• 8% holiday allowance
• Pension accrual from your first working day
• Travel allowance of €0.25 per km
• You start through Olympia as a temporary worker, with the prospect of a permanent contract with the client
